Stacking cubes, ko Verzuu for ADO

Kids toys may seem to just be a playful byproduct of modernism. But I believe they lay at the very heart of it. Modernism is a utopian idea; the wish to create a better future. So what better way to accomplish it than through children?

These cubes were designed by Ko Verzuu for Ado. Inspired by De Stijl, Verzuu started his company for abstract toys in 1925.

These blocks have clearly been played with. We like them that way, but it is of course a matter of taste.
