Specchio Misuratore, Superstudio, 1976

Superstudio was a visionary architectural firm. Although they never actually built anything, their radical view of architecture as a non-hierarchical, continuous grid, endlessly modular and scalable, has influenced and inspired architectst from Rem Koolhaas to Zaha Hadid. As their vision took modernist ideals to their most radical consequence, it also became a warning and thus it marked an early turning point towards postmodernism

I think this mirror perfectly expresses the visionary aspect of their virtual continuation of the grid. In the mirror it becomes yet another cube; endlessly scalable.
