Fossil Slate Coffee Table H Lilienthal attributed 1970's

Vintage? Is that what we should call this 1970's coffee table? The top is about 400 million years old! It's packed with fossils of ancient ammonites and belemnites from the Devonian period. It looks like a slice of the universe, which in fact; it is! The design of the table is attributed to Heinz Lilienthal. It is a beautiful and unique cut out from a fossil slate. It is completely intact. Even the edges are still straight. The square base is made out of dark brown lacquered metal. This coffee table is a fantastic eye-catcher.
