TWO BLACK B9 SIDETABLES, OR STOOLS, MARCEL BREUER, TECTA 1990'S
Originally designed in 1925/26, the B9 is perhaps the most clear and simple example of all tubular steel furniture, expressing the functionalist ideals like no other. Walter Gropius used it to furnish the cafeteria of the Bauhaus building in Dessau. It can be used as a stool, or sidetable.
These two were produced by Tecta in the 1990's under license of the Bauhaus Archive. The Tecta B9 is no longer in production.
What is special about the Tecta version is that it is not chromed, but nickeled like some of the early versions.
Both are in an excellent condition with hardly any usermarks
