A very rare executive desk, designed in 1919 by Willem Penaat for the drectors office of the Dutch Post (PTT).
This is a desk made with high quality craftsmanship. Very solid, yet also refined. It features six drawers with beautiful details. It can be used as a free standing desk. We also offer the matching and equally rare armchair model 7
The desk has been wonderfully preserved. It top has a dark spot . One of the handles of the drawers was missing. It has been replaced by one made of plastic that is just slightly smaller, which is hardly visible.
The "normal" desk Willem Penaat designed for the workers of the PTT is fairly common, but this executive version is the first and only one I have ever seen
