This extremely rare lamp is one of the first collaborations by Italian architects Raul Barbieri and Giorgio Marianelli. It was produced by lighting company Tronconi in the 1970's. It has that cool, sophisticated look which reminds us of contemporary designs of Joe Colombo and Vico Magistretti. A single sheet of metal is bent in two directions; going over and under the light source. The shade can be rotated and adjusted in height along the stem. Use it as a downlighter, or an upltlighter. The original dimmer is also included to adjust the light to any atmosphere. It is a big and very versatile lamp, which stands on a heavy, tulip shaped foot. The button of the dimmer is missing, but you can push what's left of it up and down so it still works just fine. Underneath the shade a screw has been replaced. Other than that the lamp is in an excellent condition and completely original.
