Two folds in a rectangle, nothing more. The first fold creates a stable structure. The second covers the light source. The design could hardly be more minimal. We can only see it as a bold statement by the designer. No frills, no blingbling. But pure elegant simplicity. Feel free to change their position and let the light and shadows interact. Both lamps are in an absolutely mint condition.
The designer is unknown. The smaller lamp is marked with a label that says: "Lyskilde, made in Denmark". Little is known about Lyskilde. It was a Danish lighting company who's sole production was known to be old fashioned lampshades. Quite the opposite of strict minimalism. In 1993 Lyskilde merged with Frandsen Belysning, directed by designer Benny Frandsen, well known for his innovative lamps. The new company name became Frandsen/Lyskilde A/S. We have never seen these lamps before / Very rare
