Coffee Cups, Makio Hasuike, Laveno 1975
The idea is as simple as it was innovative; Instead of adding an ear to the cups, the handles are folded inward. It causes a very nice and subtle effect of light and shadow and of course; as the handles aren't sticking out, they will not break as easily.
This is a rare avant garde set of eight coffee cups with eight matching saucers, designed in 1975 by Mario Hasuike for Laveno for the Arnolfo Di Cambio collection, produced by Laveno Ravelli. They are marked on the bottom with the Laveno logo, the whole set is in an excellent condition with only minor user marks. Note that these are the bigger cups of the series (not for espressos)
