Modernist tableware, Maestro 2060, Carl Aubock 1955
This rare, stainless steel tableware was designed in 1955 by Carl Aubock, two years before Arne acobsen would design his famous cutlery, which is similar in its approach. In 1958 it was awarded a Diplôme d’Honneur and a gold medal at the Brussels World Fair
Aubock stands in a tradition of the Wiener Werkstatte and he was a student at the Bauhaus. Those influences are clearly visible in this modernist design. Making tableware of stainless steel was very innovative in the 1950's
The set consists of 18 pieces; six spoons, six knives annd six forks. All of them are in a great condition with normal usermarks.
