Original Bauhaus era tin box, ca 1925-1935
Original Bauhaus era XOX box from around 1925-1935.
The abstract geometry is typical for the Bauhaus period; Wassily Kandinsky, Moholy-Nagy and Herbert Bayer in particular worked in a similar fashion. The designer is not known, but it's quite possible that one of them had something to do with it.
The asymmetrical shape is very experimental for the time. It has a different composition on each side The color scheme is also interesting with golden parts that reflect the light at certain angles.

The box is still in a very good condition for its age with a beautiful patina.
