Cocoon floor lamp H. Klingele (attr.), Artimeta 1950's
A sculptural, organic looking cocoon lamp from the 1950's with a shade of sprayed plastic cottonweave, just as the lamps by Achille Castiglioni for Flos. This one is attributed to H. Klingele, for Artimeta Soest in the Netherlands.
The lamp emits a beautiful warm light. Very atmospheric. The shades of these old lamps are often damaged. This one has some stains from the inside. We don't mind them too much. It is an old lady after all. Her shade is completely intact and the black metal wire frame still has the original rubber feet. Another charming detail is the original switch on the floor.
