Beautiful antique Andon lamp with Japanese rice paper. This lamp is from the time Japan finally opened up to the rest of the world. Their minimal designs had a big influence on the development of western modernism.
The lamp was originally made for oil. We electrified it. On the bottom it still has a little drawer for matches.
The wood shows some signs ware, but it is still in a good condition for its old age
