Large Slack floor lamp, Mart van Schijndel, Martech 1979
A large version of the Slack lamp, designed by architect Mart van Schijndel in 1979 and produced by his own company Martech. This one comes directy from the LOKV office, a buidling which van Schijndel designed himself. The triangular, origami-like construction clearly has his signature. The lamp was intended for offices. The light bounces from the ceiling, so you would not have reflections in computer monitors. A very practical and innovative idea for that time.
The lamp is in an excellent condition with only very minor user marks. It still has the old fashion light bulb, for which LED alternatives are now available. This is a very stylish and sculptural lamp that has not been produced in large numbers. Especially this wide version is not offered very often
