A cyllindrical floor lamp with a black, solid steel tripod base. The shade is made of a synthetic woven mat from the early days of plastic. It emits a warm, pleasant light (that is hard to photgraph). The simplicity of the vertical form and the unique texture make this a great lamp to combine with other shapes and materials. I haven't seen another one like it. Judging from the style and the materials, I would guess that it is an old model made in Gemany ca 1950.
The base is strong and heavy. The shade is delicate. It has obtained a nice patina with some superficial usermarks and a 1 cm cut on the bottom (see pictures)
