Oplala Floor lamp, Hans Wegner. Louis Poulsen 1975
Hans Wegner was one of the greatest Danish designers of all time. With this beautiful floor lamp he wasn't showing of. The design is subtle and sober, yet unique. To us it seems as though the angle of the shade simply follows the direction of the light. The lamp is not very high. It brings the everything down to a lower level for an intimate atmosphere.
This is an original from the seventies, which is different from a later production. It is still in a close to mint condition. There is only one tiny spot of paint damage on the foot. Hardly visible. The switch has been diverted to a dimmer on the wire so you can adjust the light intensity.
