Rare wall lamp, J. Hoogervorst, Anvia 1950's
A beautiful example of post war functionalism. This wall lamp was designed by J. Hoogervorst for Anvia Almelo. Anvia was founded by a family from Berlin, who took the modernist principles of the Bauhaus with them to the Netherlands. In Hoogervorst they found one of the best lamp designers of the 1950's and 1960's.
This model is quite hard to find. It swivels on two points and it can be fixed at any hight, making it a very flexible lamp. The lamp is in perfect working condition. It doesn't have any dents, but the shade has some damage to the dark grey metallic paint. The original wall mount, which often is missing came from a dark brown anvia lamp, so there is a slight colour difference, but atleast it is there.
