Sinus lamp, Ettore Sottsass, Stilnovo 1972

Memphis Milano didn't exist yet, but we can already see the style of Ettore Sottsass emerging. And also for Stilnovo one of the first steps towards a new era of highly influential lighting design. This black and white lamp does have some shortcomings as can be seen in the pictures. The screws on the top and bottom are missing, but it is stable and stays together fine without them. A hole was made on the side to divert the cable. That being said; We think this lamp is fantastic and significant in the course of design history.
