1st gen. model 6865 / EA104 chair, Eames, Herman Miller 1957
Designed in 1957, the Eames Aluminium Group chair was initially intended for in- and outdoor use. As a weather resistant fabric they used naugahide. Leather, mesh and hopsack came with later models. This original version has different proportions and a 4 star Pedestal base with nylon glides. This one has armrests and it swivels; the most exclusive option at the time. The Herman Miller logo is stamped into the base.
The chair is in a good vintage condition with usermarks that fit it's age. All of the marks are shown in the pictures.
