2 Ant chairs, Arne Jacobsen, Fritz Hansen 1965

Arne Jacobsen designed a series of chairs with animal names of which the Ant chair was his personal favorite. It is the only one originally designed with three legs. Its silhouette is very elegant, which is emphasised by the black color.

These chairs were produced in 1965. The joint underneath is made of metal and not plastic like newer models. Both chairs have superficial usermarks and some light rust on the legs underneath the chairs. Normal for their age. Both are sturdy; also the backrests. A beautiful set of absolute design classics.
