DCM Chair Eames Evans 1940s
A simple beech wood dinner chair.? Designed in 1946, this is the chair of the first series made with complex bent plywood that brought Ray and Charles Eames world fame. The design and construction was highly influential on the course of design history and of course people's everyday life.

The first chairs were produced by the Evans company, until 1949. This is one of them. It can be identified by the large metal joints on the back a heavy frame and its metal feet.
For a chair that is at least 70 years old, it is in an excellent condition with user marks that suit an old pioneer.
