Early T1 wire stool, Verner Panton, Plus Linje 1959
One of Panton's first designs; the T1 has a wire framed base, as if it is an abstract 3d wiremesh for a conical shape. The seat seems to be floating above it. It still has its original leatherette fabric, which has obtained a sophisticated pale yellow patine over the years.
We like the original fabric, but it has some usermarks, mostly on the white edge and a cut on the bottom. It can be reupholstered if desired. The base has been rewelded and repainted at some points, so it is strong and stable. Overal this cool and stylish stool is in a good vintage condition and quite hard to find.
