A chair that has volume, yet it is mostly open. Most of the light will go through it, hardly casting a dark shadow.. but the lighht that does hit the rattan gives it a beautiful glow.
This is a rare model by Rohe Noordwolde. The furniture company has a long tradition in the wet north of the Netherlands, where rattan was abundant. Ther design shows the craftsmanship and the understanding of the material. A beautiful marriage between nature and industry.
This chair is in a good vintage condition Some of the strings onn the outer circle a glued back in place. It is hardly visible. All of the supporting strings are still intact.
