Rare XL Slat Bench Martin Visser T Spectrum 1960
An exceptionally long slat bench from the BZ series, designed in 1960 by Martin Visser for the interior of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. The model was taken into production by 't Spectrum between 1965 and 1974.
The benches on offer in the catalogue had a standard maximum length of 2 meters. However in a few cases exceptions were made on special request of the client. The bench on offer is exceptionally long (like the one in the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo). It can be fantastic as a side table behind a sofa, or as a room divider.
The BZ model is loved for it's versatility; The extra length allows you to use it in different ways at once. It's in a very good condition. Made of solid wood with some superficial user marks.
