The B-35 armchair was designed in 1928/29 at the Bauhaus. The bar in the front indicates that this is a production from the 1930's. It is marked by the Thonet shield on the back of an armrest. This version of the logo was used after 1934.
Marcel Breuer himself called this a chair without any style. The structure of the continuous line going from the seat to the armrests is as clear and functional as can be. The scews are not hidden. An iconic example of modernism. The chair is in a beautiful condition with only few usermarks. The canvas has been renewed.
